Mission Statement
We believe that mattresses are one of the best consumer products to buy or to sell. We believe that sleeping well on a quality comfortable mattress improves the quality of people’s lives.  We know that most consumers don’t like to buy mattresses and consequently mattress retailers struggle with the process of selling them. Knowing all that, we will work to change, for the better, how mattresses are bought and sold. A lofty challenge, but we are prepared to meet it, one retailer, associate, manufacturer, and consumer at a time. 
 
We will conduct ourselves in an ethical manner guided by Biblical principles including, honesty and integrity, fairness, kindness, a strong work ethic and a servant’s heart.


Goals and Objectives
           
Our goal is to develop a community of mattress sales associates, managers and trainers and become the leading resource of sales training information for the mattress industry.

We will work within the industry to indirectly help as many people as possible improve the quality of their lives by purchasing and sleeping on a quality mattress. Through our training and consulting services we will help retailers to better serve their customers and create unique and outstanding buying experiences for them.

Our Philosophy
Sell More Beds is a resource designed to “get to the heart” of selling mattresses: the motivation and attitudes of both buyer and seller. In addition to attitude, perspective and awareness skills, you will learn practical skills that can be put to use immediately.

Most training is based on factual information that our minds tend to store in short-term memory.  Quickly it begins to diminish like a watercolor painting in the rain. We present new ideas, concepts, and principles that change perspective and inspire growth and creativity by involving the imagination.  It broadens the context of selling mattresses.

We holds sales associates in the highest regard.  We hope to supplement and enhance what you probably already do well. You are encouraged to rely on your own intuition rather than to memorize guidelines or selling steps.

Our information is designed to be compatible with any training you may have had or will have in the future; in fact it sets the stage and serves as a backdrop to make new information and training even more effective.  Think of traditional training as being the “who, what, when and where” of selling.   Now, think of these ideas, concepts and principles as being the “why and how.”  They allow you to enter a more powerful and imaginative realm to negotiate in than the realm of logic and intellect. Your customers will thank you.

A New Perspective

Genuine concern for your customers well-being means that you understand in a broader context the influential role you play in helping them find a set that can improve their quality of life and health. The old adage, is true, “It is better to give than to receive”.  Putting your customers’ needs and interests above your own paradoxically makes you more successful than if your goal is to be successful.
 
Honesty and integrity. There is no need to create false urgency or overvalue products’ worth (price) or performance.  Integrity means doing the right thing for the right reason. Consumers are intuitively perceptive and will more willingly buy from someone whom they trust.   

Objectivity and Fairness. It is not our job to impose our preferences upon others. All shoppers  should be treated with courtesy and politeness with the motive of discovering and meeting their needs.

Practical Selling Skills
